The SARS user will be able to view the activity on the taxpayer\u2019s screen and provide guidance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>JAWS Compliant<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>JAWS refer to <em>Job Access with Speech <\/em>and is a solution that allows blind and visually impaired users to read a screen either with a text-to-speech output or by a refreshable Braille display.<\/li>\n<li>The RRA01 form loaded on Service System is JAWS compliant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Help-You-eFile system works by keeping the SARS Service Consultant\u2019s internet screen in sync with yours.<\/p>\n<p>The SARS Service Consultant can only view your screen and point to or highlight text fields and information on the active eFiling screen on your computer.<\/p>\n<table width=\"576\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color: white;width: 576px\" width=\"576\">\n<p><strong>Note: The SARS Service Consultant<\/strong> <strong>will not be able to control or update your eFiling screen. Furthermore he\/she will not be able to view sensitive information pertaining to your profile (this includes information such as login name; password; banking details and payment reference numbers). Additionally for security purposes, the SARS Service Consultant will not be able to view or access your desktop and files. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>How to use Help-You-eFile<\/h2>\n<p>You can start a Help-You-eFile session either from the SARS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/gen-elec-18-g01-how-to-register-for-efiling-and-manage-your-user-profile-external-guide\/\">eFiling<\/a> login page or after you\u2019ve successfully logged on to the SARS <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.sarsefiling.co.za\/landing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eFiling website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Note: <\/strong>If you are not registered on <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.sarsefiling.co.za\/landing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eFiling<\/a> , refer to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/gen-elec-18-g01-how-to-register-for-efiling-and-manage-your-user-profile-external-guide\/\"> GEN-ELEC-18-G01 \u2013 External Guide \u2013 How to Register for eFiling and Manage Your User Profile<\/a>, to be able to register.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><strong>How to log onto eFiling to<\/strong><strong> a<\/strong><strong>ccess Help-You-eFile service<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/\">www.sars.gov.za<\/a>, and on the right-hand side of the screen you will see the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.sarsefiling.co.za\/landing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eFiling<\/a> logo and accessible links and the following screen will be displayed:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141425\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"346\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the \u201c<strong>Login<\/strong>\u201d icon and you will be redirected to the sarsefiling login page,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong> You can access the SARS eFiling login page by going directly to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sarsefiling.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.sarsefiling.co.za\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141426\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"423\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the &lt;Help\u2013You\u2013eFile&gt; icon, either on the login screen; or<\/li>\n<li>Log on to the eFiling website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sarsefiling.co.za\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.sarsefiling.co.za<\/a>,\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the <strong>Username<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141427\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"421\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Complete the <strong>Password<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141430\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"470\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you have logged into your eFiling profile. Note the following displayed on your screen:\n<ul>\n<li>A summary of the Help-You-eFile process.<\/li>\n<li>The SARS Help-You-eFile online standard terms and conditions.<\/li>\n<li>The toll-free number for the SARS Voice Channel.<\/li>\n<li>A unique Help-You-eFile session ID.<\/li>\n<li>The status of the SARS Service Consultant.<\/li>\n<li>An option to log out of the session (Help-You-eFile).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong> When you request Help-You-eFile after working hours the following screen will be displayed:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141432\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"341\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When you request the Help-You-eFile during working hours, the following screen will be displayed:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141436\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile7.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"339\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you agree with the terms and conditions, select the tick box to indicate that you have read the Help-You-eFile terms and conditions and then click on the &lt;Accept&gt; button to proceed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141441\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"85\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Note<\/strong>: If the &lt;Back&gt; button is selected, you will receive a message to ask if you are sure you want to log out of Help-You-eFile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141445\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"99\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you select &lt;No&gt;, the welcome page will be displayed. If you select &lt;Yes&gt;, you will receive a thank you pop-up message and directed back to the previous screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141446\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"51\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the Terms and Conditions have been accepted: Note the following options to engage with Service Consultant:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can proceed by calling the SARS Voice Channel on the number 0800 00 7277 and select option 5 for <strong>Help-You-eFile<\/strong> (if you\u2019re not already on a call with a SARS Service Consultant), or<\/li>\n<li>Click the &lt;Call Me&gt; button This will open the page displayed below for you to complete so that the Service Consultant calls you back. Complete all the fields on the &lt;Call Me&gt; page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141447\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile11.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"411\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you complete invalid information on either of the ID Number, Tax Reference Number or Contact Number fields, a message will be displayed on the screen.<\/li>\n<li>The information entered into the &lt;Confirm Contact Number&gt; field should match the Contact Number field. A message will be displayed if it does not match.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141448\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you submit invalid information, you will be prompted to provide valid information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141449\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile13.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"54\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you select &lt;Submit&gt;, a pop-up message will be displayed to confirm that your request was successful.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141450\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile14.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"43\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After submitting your request you have the option to cancel the call by selecting the &lt;Cancel Call&gt; button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141451\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile15.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"57\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you cancel the call, you will receive a pop-up message.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141459\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile16.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"37\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you log out of Help-You-eFile, while a request to call you have been submitted, the following message will be displayed, that indicate that your call will be cancelled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141460\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile17.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"143\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you select &lt;No&gt;, the call back will remain active, and the Service Consultant will call you back. If you select &lt;Yes&gt;, the call back will be cancelled.<\/li>\n<li>Note that the status will update as indicated below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141464\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile18.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"68\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the &lt;Back&gt; is selected, you will be directed back to the welcome screen.<\/li>\n<li>Once you have answered the call back from the Service Consultant, you will receive the following message that indicates your case number.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141465\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile19.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"111\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the SARS Service Consultant has not yet entered the unique session ID on the SARS system to connect; you will be notified that the system is waiting for the Service Consultant to connect.<\/li>\n<li>Provide the SARS Service Consultant with the unique session ID (The session ID will be on the toolbar highlighted in green. It will flash until the SARS Service Consultant is connected and also when the session is terminated).<\/li>\n<li>Help-You-eFile (HYEF) functionality has been integrated into all the Voice Channel service queues and is therefore no longer as a standalone dial plan option, when a taxpayer choose HYEF will be automatically launched and he\/she will successfully enter the Help-You-eFile session ID, and the Service Consultant will be alerted that the Help-You-eFile session was launched automatically.<\/li>\n<li>When the SARS Service Consultant has entered the unique session ID on the SARS system, a pop-up message will be displayed with your SARS Service Consultant\u2019s name for you to confirm whether you would like the SARS Service Consultant to assist you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141466\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile20.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"91\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you select &lt; NO&gt;, the Help-You-eFile session will not continue but the call between you and your SARS Service Consultant will remain active.<\/li>\n<li>If you select &lt;YES&gt;, a pop-up message will be displayed to confirm that your SARS Service Consultant is connected.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141467\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"58\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The name of your SARS Service Consultant will be displayed on the toolbar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-141468\" src=\"https\/\/www.sars.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/GuideHelpYouEfile\/eFile22.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"364\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your SARS Service Consultant can view the actions performed by you on the <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.sarsefiling.co.za\/landing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eFiling<\/a> site such as vertical and horizontal scrolling on a page, scrolling to new page, fields highlighted on a particular screen and information that is typed by you.\n<ul>\n<li>Sensitive information such as passwords, answers to security questions, bank details, etc. will be protected. Numeric fields (such as bank account numbers) will be displayed as zeroes to your SARS Service Consultant and alphanumeric fields (such as passwords) will be displayed as an asterisk (*) to your SARS Service Consultant.<\/li>\n<li>If you require assistance with a form, your SARS Service Consultant will be able view what actions you perform within the Flex forms only (i.e. those forms that are opened using the adobe flash player option). The PDF forms are static and non-editable.
